  • Qualified in United service for the entire period of January 1 through December 31, 2009, and operating a minimum of 40,000 miles.

  • Maintaining a preventable accident-free record for the year and keeping all operating qualifications up to date.

  • Operating without any moving traffic citations, no out-of-service deficiencies found at roadside safety inspections, and no unsafe driving complaints.

  • Maintaining a perfect Safety Performance Rating (SPR) score.

  • Maintaining a cargo claim liability of 1.0% or below and an exceptional on-time service pickup/delivery.

"Most Improved" Award - September 2009

Merit Moving Systems, Buena Park, has earned a "Most Improved" award recognizing a major improvement in Customer Performance Average (CPA) and claims for the year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.

The "Move Improved" Award was implemented July 1, 2008, to provide a financial incentive to those agents making the greatest improvement in the measurements of Customer Performance Average (CPA) and claims liability percentage.  As a 2008-09 "Most Improved" Winner, Merit Moving Systems will receive a cash award in the amount of $5,000.

“GENE ANDERSON/UNITED EXCELLENCE AWARD”


Larry Stanley, president of Merit Moving Systems, Los Angeles, Calif., has received the United Van Lines “Gene Anderson/United Excellence award,” which recognizes an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the United system. The award is named in honor of the late Gene Anderson of Lubbock, Texas, a long-time United Van Lines board member and the corporation’s treasurer at the time of his death in 1985.

Stanley’s selection was announced by Richard H. McClure, president of United Van Lines, at the van line’s recent convention held in Desert Springs, Calif. In revealing the winner of this prestigious honor, McClure referred to the Stanley as “someone who has the traits of a leader.”

McClure also stated, “Soon Larry’s reputation as a sound leader elevated him among his peers as a natural to serve on the UniGroup Board of Directors. He was elected to the Board in 2001 and during his tenure has participated in significant board actions including UniGroup’s transition into adjacent markets. He currently serves as the Chair of the Operations Committee that has been active in working through our strategies to successfully improve service.”
