After having our family heirlooms in storage for a few years, it was time to get them moved and dispersed amoungst the family members. So, that meant everything in the unit would have to be moved from Murrieta, CA to the Seattle area. I wracked my brain for several weeks making calls to find the right long distance moving company with a heart for antiques and non-replaceable items that needed much tender loving care to make the 1000+ mile trip. Merit impressed me from the first phone call, then speaking with Kari added to my relief, then working with Lelo at the unit to pack it into the first truck made for a calm and happy experience and finally, when the truck pulled up to my house and I met Russell & Matt, I can only explain the feeling as pure, unadulterated JOY! Every piece arrived in perfect shape, was placed exactly where I needed it to be and items that went to family where dispersed with a true willingness to help! Your company is as professional as it gets, as caring as a sentimental old gal, like myself, truly needs and as efficient as a well oiled machine! I will be singing your praises to everyone I know and have given my highest recommendation to both family and friends, near and far! Thank you for helping us finish this story of our family and our precious "stuff" with a very happy ending! :-) MM

Thank you so much for your help during a very stressful time. Kari Stanley and Sam Woodley and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Kari was so efficient, explaining each step of the procedure, and what we could expect to happen, and it happened just as she said it would. Sam Woodley and his crew were so organized!!! They swooped in, packed up the house and drove away with a wave and a toot of the horn. They made a difficult job seem effortless. We can't thank them enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Merit was pretty good once they got the crates. But we moved from Hawaii to California and there were many people involved. We used island Movers supposedly for a door to door delivery. However, island movers packaged our things, charged us up front for the entire move. The container sat for a while in Honolulu, then only several days on the barge. But then it sat in Long Beach for weeks. Island Movers told us to call Laura at United Van lines part of the umbrella of Unigroup. Laura was on vacation. When Laura called back she said container was still in Long Beach. It was up to Long beach to tell them when it could be picked up by merrit. I got Diane at Merritt who was concerned about all the delays and said it wouldn't be ready for them to pick up for another week or so. Finally Unigroup and Merritt got together and they brought our things a little earlier. There were so many companies involved that all pointed the finger at someone else. Diane at Merritt did show concern for our situation though.

Excellent service from the first phone call from Kari, to the very professional crew that Manny ran. They packed my 4 bedroom house in 3.5 hours and had it loaded the next morning for my move to Orcutt. I would use Merit moving again in a second. Thank you guys for the painless moving experience. I was very impressed with the team of movers that showed up at my house on moving day. They had my entire house packed up in about 2 1/2 hours and were ready to go. They all were very professional, careful with my belongings, and incredibly efficient. Not a single broken item! Cost wise, they were excellent. Would highly recommend them to someone else.
